Vision, Mission, and Values
Vision: Our Vision is to assist in the transformation of the people of West Baltimore by revealing Jesus.
Mission
Our mission is to engage all people in our community with the whole of the Gospel of Jesus through Spirit-led prayer, authentic worship, practical Bible teaching, extravagant generosity and radical service.
Values
Transformation
The counter-cultural change that is undergone from the inside out as a result of following Jesus and submitting to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
Community
The bond among people that is created by the Holy Spirit when shared successes and failures, openings and obstacles, experiences and memories, are collectively navigated for the sake of the Kingdom of God. This includes the ministries of friendship, presence and grace-filled empathy.
Authenticity
The strength that enables us to readily acknowledge our flaws and failures, recognizing that owning our limitations and mistakes does not constrain us, but frees us. This is the confidence that allows us to recognize our differences and embrace our diversity without blurring our uniqueness.
Advocacy
The work of the people of God on behalf of, and with, those who are defenseless, invisible, silent, forgotten and without hope in our society.
Statement of Faith
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the one holy catholic apostolic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
