The West Baltimore Building
201 N Bend Road
The building adjacent to North Bend EMS at 201 N Bend is what we call The West Baltimore Building. This space was once a high school, then was used by BCPSS as swing space while other schools were being renovated. In 2022, The Broken Wall hosted a community feedback session with The Neighborhood Design Center where we dreamed about what the space could become. We continue our commitment in assuring that the community’s voice is heard and that the building is utilized for the benefit of our community.
In 2025, Broken Wall secured a grant from the Baltimore Community Foundation to hire Cap Ex Advisory Group to complete a feasibility study.
Cap Ex’s work will build on our community engagement to assess the feasibility and potential costs of redeveloping the site to create a mixed-use facility that prioritizes community interests including space for: athletics, arts, early childhood education, and non-profit/small business commercial space.
